Friends and Fam,
Unfortunately, due to last minute unexpected changes, we'll have to cancel tonight's PillowTalk event.
We feel everything is a blessing in disguise, and take every situation as important lessons to review. It is imperative for us to note, PillowTalk has come far and will continue at a later date like you haven't seen it before! We're making changes, for a better and stronger event as we speak!
To all of you wonderful artists, your presence and talent is what kept PillowTalk afloat from the beginning. We have all been down the same trenches, struggled, and succeded at staying loyal to our artistisc visions. Everyone of you has been an important element to what PillowTalk is and will become. Thank you from the bottom of our heart. You guys are phenomenal, your talent extraordinary, and your presence unforgettable.
Once again we apologize for the cancellation. We look forward to work with you in the near future – as we see the sun coming up in the horizon. See you there!!

WIth over 10 years of public speaking including: Seminars, Business Conferences and Public schools, Tamika enjoys working with youth and is involved in a number of Youth Programs that mentor and teach children and adults.
As a writer and poet, Tamika is constantly in schools conducting writing workshops helping young writers find their voice. She is always shocked to see the lack of self knowledge and history that her students have. It screams in their writing that they have no sense of purpose. Unfortunately, they are lacking the cultural lens needed to feel self worth and achievement. To fill this void for students, Tamika is writing a children's series for k-12th grade regarding ethnic studies and is currently working on her Ph.D in Higher Education
